Brake Line Repair in Gallatin, TN
Brake Line Inspection, Repair & Replacement
Trusted auto repair for Bethpage, Gallatin, Portland and Castalian Springs, Tennessee.
Your vehicle's brake lines carry hydraulic fluid from the master cylinder to each wheel's brake components. A leak or damage in a brake line can cause brake failure — one of the most dangerous situations a driver can face. At Rock Bridge Automotive Repair, we inspect, repair, and replace brake lines on all makes and models of cars and light trucks.
Signs You May Have a Brake Line Problem
If you notice any of the following, bring your vehicle in immediately for a brake inspection:
- Spongy or soft brake pedal
- Brake pedal sinking to the floor
- Visible fluid leaking under your vehicle
- Brake warning light on your dashboard
- Reduced braking performance
- Vehicle pulling to one side when braking
Types of Brake Lines We Repair
We repair and replace all types of brake lines including steel brake lines, stainless steel lines, rubber brake hoses, and braided lines. Rubber brake hoses are flexible and connect the steel lines to the brake calipers and wheel cylinders. Over time these hoses can crack, swell, or collapse internally — restricting brake fluid flow even if they appear undamaged on the outside.
Brake Line Rust and Corrosion
Steel brake lines are especially prone to rust, particularly in areas where roads are salted in winter. Even in Tennessee, brake lines can corrode over time. We inspect brake lines during every brake service and will alert you to any lines that are showing signs of wear, rust, or damage before they become a safety issue.
